English translation

মেমোরি বলে একটা ফিচার আছে;
সেখানে দেখা যায়, আগের বছরগুলোতে সেই দিনে কোন পোস্টগুলো করা হয়েছিল,
স্মৃতি রোমন্থন করার এক অভিনব-আকর্ষণীয়-দুর্দান্ত-কার্যকরী উপায়।
আমার একটা অভ্যাস আছে,
অবশ্য তাকে বদ অভ্যাসই বলা যায়;
মেমোরির পুরনো পোস্টগুলোতে—কে কী কমেন্ট করেছিল, কে কী রিয়েকশন দিয়েছিল— সেগুলো খুঁজে খুঁজে দেখা।
অনুসন্ধানে কখনও থমকে যেতে হয়;
অনেকের কমেন্ট-রিয়েকশন দেখতে পাই যারা আর জীবিত নেই,
যাদের কোন পার্থিব অস্তিত্ব নেই।
তাদের অস্তিত্ব কেবল অনলাইন স্পেইসের প্রাক্তন পোস্টে!
মাঝে মাঝে ভাবি, প্রয়াত আইডিগুলোকে আনফ্রেন্ড করে দিব,
কিন্তু করা হয় না;
তাদের অস্তিত্ব এভাবেই থাকুক।
আবার এমন কিছু একাউন্টকে দেখতে পাই,
যাদের সাথে এক সময় অন্তরঙ্গতা ছিল, এখন আর নেই।
তারা জীবিত; তাদের উপস্থিতি বাস্তব,
ডিজিটাল ফ্রুটপ্রিন্ট বাড়ছে প্রতিনিয়ত,
আনফলো থাকায় মেমোরির পোস্টগুলোতে তাদের অস্তিত্ব টের পাই।
তারা আমার কাছে নিষ্প্রাণ; জীবিত থেকেও!
মাঝে মাঝে ভাবি, জীবন্মৃত আইডিগুলোকে আনফ্রেন্ড করে দিব,
কিন্তু করা হয় না;
তাদের অস্তিত্বও এভাবেই থাকুক।
English translation
Memory, a feature, where people can see which posts were posted on that day in the past years,
An impressive-wonderful-attractive-functional way to reminisce.
I have a habit,
Might be considered a bad one;
In the old posts of Memory, I observed who commented on what, who gave what reaction.
The investigation was interrupted by seeing some comments-reactions from people who are not alive.
They have no worldly connections beyond their past online presence.
Sometimes, I think of unfriending them,
But did not do that;
And allow them to exist in this manner.
Sometimes the interruption caused by seeing some accounts,
Who were intimate in the past, not in the present.
They are alive-real;
Digital footprints are updating,
Due to unfollow, I only feel their presence in the memory feature.
They exist in the real world; lifeless to me.
Sometimes, I think of unfriending them,
But did not do that;
And allow them to exist in this manner, too.
