We Must Become UnLost

About this piece
This stems from me as a person of two ethnicities. It speaks to East Indians and Venezuelans, today. And how we are making tough choices to impact our tomorrow. And that of our children. Are the consequences worth losing ourselves again? After we fought so hard to break free.
They took our dreams, our hopes, our souls, our light... our very hearts.
Centuries later, why do we allow them to do so again?
We have the power. Yet we purposely become lost.
We aimlessly wander when we have the map to a brighter future.
We choose to do so, despite knowing the consequences.
We cannot sell our identities again. Our people again.
Our very fabric again. No amount of coin is worth being shunted back into darkness.
We can find our way home. We are the light. We are the way.
To become UnLost.
