About this piece
The poem 'Bandit' is about the unheard, ignored heart that desires to be solaced, put in peace. The cry is necessary to be mark all these deep feelings permanent, rather than throwing away or burn all of it. Memories fade, heart listens, as incense burns timelessly.
Heart was my first bandit
A heart saw so many deaths, inside
Inside a body, beats want to stop
Flow around all my veins, foolish grief
Pulses recognize me, sick
Heart was my first bandit.
Heart was my first bandit
I don’t reply to myself, no reason
Bluish flower reminds me of ocean
No stoppage, shaded waves slash
cruel bandit
Empty glasses with green-filled
Heart was my first bandit.
Smokey scent fulfilled, my purpose of incense stick
Let me be born in time, heart was my first bandit.
bookish lines
Enjoying lights with all but darkness alone
Air is filled with love
But am I the one deprived from all?
Rainycles are spotted on my cheek
Though I am happy with nothingness, empty
Stories want me to hear;
Pages aren’t alone, winter is falling here.
Roommate is getting dressed;
Eyes don’t lie, beauty wings are on rest.
Blue verses shine, no sound fell off
Cross lined marks, grey favored.
Veins are empty, bags filled with blood
Life left; head filled with plastic flood.
Painted floor looks dull, handprints laughed
Stars look at me, I am high inside smoked puff.
Smokey scent fulfilled, my purpose of incense stick
Let me be born in time, heart was my first bandit.
Fire plays with no-one, polymer slopes on my chain
Fashion hides my bag; night flushes hide all my pain.
Have you seen all stars tonight?
They belong to me, without fight
Eyes are red, walk alone with hands behind.
Throat slits under a nylon rope
Golden frame pauses dotted slope.
Posters call a blue soap sharp
Spiders pinned a net within heart.
White marker prints dead on a white board
Strokes broke, count heads while on road.
Dark-green nights follow glass-bangles
Masks circle at hundred spectacles.
Poison gallops my muddy cup, over red sip
Wooden safe, heart was my first bandit.
Heart was my first bandit
A heart saw so many deaths, inside
Inside a body, beats want to stop
Flow around all my veins, foolish grief
Pulses recognize me, sick
Heart was my first bandit.
Heart was my first bandit
I don’t reply to myself, no reason
Bluish flower reminds me of ocean
No stoppage, shaded waves slash
cruel bandit
Empty glasses with green-filled
Heart was my first bandit.
Smokey scent fulfilled, my purpose of incense stick
Let me be born in time, heart was my first bandit.
