Threads of Togetherness

About this piece
A poem built as an acrostic on THREAD, about the daily responsibility to make something that outlasts us — a word, an action, a piece of history woven into a tapestry "by you, by me, by us". Its letters spell out a time to be heard, to be seen, to create, to rest, and to decide our hopes into reality.
Together, we each
Have the
Responsibility
Each day
And night to come together,
Deliver and create something that can last a lifetime, especially after we're gone.
Whether it be by a familiar word or action,
A piece of our history,
Weaved together to create a/the tapestry of a masterpiece...
By you, by me, by us;
One by one,
Piece by piece.

A time to be heard,
Breaking the record.
A time to be seen evolve;
A time to create and advance.
A time to rest,
Even a time to move decide
Our hopes, our dreams;
Someday to make it,
Our very own reality.
That is forever woven into time...
The one thread holding it all together.
