About this piece
My thread reflects my current reality in my career journey, the opportunities I come close to but don't recieve. It captures an ongoing inner conversation and continuous self-encouragement. it is about holding on through disappointment and rejection while choosing to keep going.
The Quiet Thread
Every single day, I have something to fight for. Nothing comes easy for me, and I am not naturally good at networking, even though I try in the best of my ability.
In the midst of endless hustling of selling and sometimes not earning a single coin, I find myself standing in front of a mirror, looking into my own soul. Quiet reminders rise within me: this is just a period in your life; it will pass.
I stare back at my reflection, tears rolling down my cheeks, whispering to myself, I can't wait for the day I will testfy about who I have become. About the sleepless nights, the rejections that came without mercy, and at times felt endless.
I imagine myself encouraging someone else one day, saying: time comes for everyone. A chance will come, no matter how long it takes. You cannot give up, you are NOT ALLOWED to, because if you do, you will never know for sure.
And then I realize, I am the one who needs to hear these words.
How do you keep your spirit alive in the midst of painful rejections, no matter how hard you try? What do you hold on to when nothing seems to change?
But then again, what other choice do I have?
Giving up is not one of them.
So I keep moving. I keep going, to find out what the future holds, and even if I do not get there, I will be proud to say: I tried.
This is my thread, the quiet voice that refuses to let me stop.
