Holding his fingers

About this piece
This poem is a little tribute to my late Father. It has my emotions and memories. Our best time was when we go for evening walk together. We used to admire a lot in our surrounding and over the years I learnt a lot from him.
Holding His Fingers
Holding his fingers, I walked
Over the passage known to him.
I, with countless trust in him,
Walked, leaving traces together with him.
As we age through the years,
Walking over different paths,
Over various places,
Holding them as cherished memories.
As a little one, his fingers
Gripped me tightly,
And as I grew up,
He held me rightly.
As I look back to those years,
I smile at the moments lived,
And I understood why he raised me
The way he did, before he left.
