About this piece
Now we all know that war is going on in between Iran and Ishrale. My feelings about this war are described in my poem,'Black Gold'.Petrol which is the main resource of Arab countries is known as Black Gold.
Black Gold
Sand stretching to the horizon, and herds of camels,
Today, the land of Arabia has revealed its destiny.
Where once there was only thirst and a hot breeze,
There lies buried deep within.
Hidden beneath the rocks, those remnants of the ocean, having spent millions of years, have revealed new forms.
When that well in Dammam first flowed,
The gleam of wealth once shone through the desert dust.
Today, these pipelines are the heartbeat of the world,
It is Arabian oil that fuels the torch of progress.
Where the cool stream of civilization once flowed,
Today, there is gunpowder smoke, and Sahara is homeless.
In the shade of palm trees, silence now prevails,
Missiles guard the laughter of childhood.
Humanity is asking, are these the answers to progress? Has the wealth of oil taken the form of missile drones?
The First Gulf War began in the richest country, Kuwait.
Due to Saddam Hussein's merciless fire,
dark clouds even chased away the sun.
Sometimes Lebanon burns, and sometimes Yemen cries out.
Today, Iran keeps sending missiles to Israel.
On this chessboard of politics, only lives are lost.
Destroy these walls of hatred and put an end to these weapons.
The heat of the desert demands a shower of peace.
So that the dove of peace may sing again over the sandy sea, and the sacred land of Arabia may once again open its doors to prosperity.
