We’re pleased to announce that, following a great response to our recent open call, 34 works of fiction, poetry and non-fiction – translated from 15 South and Southeast Asian languages – will be published on adda magazine throughout the summer. Translators from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Brunei, Malaysia, India, Singapore and Sri Lanka were asked to send us work from any of the languages of those countries. This forthcoming issue – expertly curated by Bilal Tanweer (Pakistan) and Pauline Fan (Malaysia) – is our first ever dedicated to non-Anglophone literatures, and comes as a result of our wider translation project focussing on these two regions.
