Festival of Commonwealth Film
2018 saw the inaugural Festival of Commonwealth Film (FCF) at the British Museum, organised alongside the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetign (CHOGM).
The two-day Festival featured seven powerful, moving and often funny films and a programme of shorts from across the Commonwealth, connected by a focus on human rights. The films dealt with stories which seldom reach a wide audience, and FCF provided a unique opportunity to see them together in the UK. They includes a BAFTA winner, an Oscar entry, a UK premiere, two European premieres and were be followed by Q&A sessions with the filmmakers.
