The SEVHAGE Literary Prizes 2024

SEVHAGE Literary and Development Initiative and SEVHAGE Publishers are proud to announce a call for entries into three categories of Creative Non-Fiction, Fiction and Critical Writing worth over One Million, Six Hundred Thousand Naira as follows:

The Eugenia Abu/SEVHAGE International Prize for Creative Non-Fiction (open to all writers worldwide). Star Prize of Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira +
Publication for an unpublished CNF work of 500-2000 words on any theme. Submit here

The K & L Prize for Fiction (open to Africans only). Star Prize of Five Hundred Thousand Naira+ Publication for a work of short fiction (800-2000 words) that focuses on mental health and reduces stigma while encouraging positive stories to
promote well-being. Submit here.

The E. E. Sule/SEVHAGE Prize for African Literary Criticism (open to Africans alone) Star Prize of Two Hundred and Eighty-Five Thousand Naira is for a 4500-6000 (references not compulsorily included) worded well-researched essay on
African Literature and/or African literary theory which focuses on a specific contemporary text or area of literature. Submit here.
