How To Make A Commonwealth Quilt

Please note: the deadline for entries has been extended until 9 June.

In the lead up to the 2026 Commonwealth People’s Forum in Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth Foundation invites all Commonwealth citizens to submit your creative ‘thread’ to a global Commonwealth Quilt. Artists and non-artists alike are encouraged to share their response to the creative prompt ‘Thread’ from Commonwealth Poet Laureate, Selina Tusitala Marsh. Across visual, literary and performance art, the Commonwealth Quilt offers citizens a chance to creatively express themselves and connect globally. A selection of entrants from every region will be awarded £200 each and have their creative ‘thread’ displayed at a physical exhibition in Antigua and Barbuda in November 2026.

What will you thread?
