In January 2016 nine editors from across the Caribbean travelled to Guyana for a free, week-long, intensive, residential fiction editing workshop organised by Bocas Lit Fest in partnership with Commonwealth Writers, the British Council and Canadian charity CODE.

Led by Jeremy Poynting of Peepal Tree Press (UK) and Johnny Temple of Akashic Books (USA), the two largest publishers of Caribbean literature. The workshop is part of an ongoing region-wide project to develop publishing skills in the Caribbean and support Caribbean books and writers.
