How we are helping

This project aims to address the gaps in publishing opportunities by delivering a writers’ retreat and inviting participants to submit work for an anthology of Saint Lucian writing.

About the project

To address the limited development opportunities for writers, and the lack of an active writers’ network, this project will deliver a three-day writers’ retreat and publish an anthology of Saint Lucian writing. The retreat will offer tailored workshop sessions exploring writing as a tool for advocacy, social change, and cultural preservation, while also introducing participants to Saint Lucian literature. Participants will be invited to submit work for inclusion in a collaboratively edited and published anthology.

As a result of the project, it is hoped that writers in Saint Lucia are empowered and inspired. The project will help strengthen the country’s literary landscape, ensuring that authentic Saint Lucian stories are told and celebrated.
