How we are helping

This project aims to establish a multifunctional hub where creatives can gather for classes, workshops, and exhibitions.

About the project

Dominica lacks a dedicated art institute, school, college or museum, restricting opportunities for artists to develop their skills and showcase their work.

This project will establish an artist hub and cultural centre to host art workshops, gallery exhibitions, offices, storerooms, utility rooms, a projection space, communal areas, and a library. The site will also serve as a new permanent home for Waitukubuli Artist Association (WAA), which has operated without a permanent base for six years.

As a result of the project, it is hoped that Dominican artists will benefit from a dedicated space for mentorship, creative expression, and collaboration.

One of the core objectives of the association is to provide a sustainable source of work, income and professional training for the artists.
