The Hope Prize

The Hope Prize, is calling for submissions on the themes of hope, courage and resilience from all over the world.

We especially encourage emerging and unpublished writers to submit their work.
Pieces can be fiction or non fiction and must be between 2,000 and 5,000 words in length.

The winning entry will receive a prize of $10,000 AUD, sponsored by Simon & Schuster Australia.
Second and third-place prizes, sponsored jointly by Readings and The Hope Prize, are $2,000 AUD and $1,000 AUD, respectively.

Simon & Schuster Australia will publish an anthology of winning and highly commended submissions. All royalties from the anthology, to be published in 2024, will be donated to Beyond Blue, an Australian mental health charity. The collection will be available in Australia and by print-on-demand internationally.
