Reparations Now! Caribbean Visual Art Exhibition Open Call

Through a grant from the inaugural Caribbean Culture Fund, CRJ10PP IS pleased to announce this open call for submissions to a two-week visual art exhibition exploring the theme of reparations.

Using the CARICOM 10-Point Plan for reparatory justice as a guide, we invite artists to submit artworks that explore the multifaceted concept of reparations, addressing historical injustices, collective healing, social justice movements, and envisioning paths towards reconciliation and restitution.

This tripartite visual art exhibition will be held in galleries in Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. It highlights the urgency and importance of reparations. The intention is to educate the Caribbean about the critical issue of reparations, mobilise support for concrete actions to address systemic injustices and promote healing and reconciliation through creative expression. This exhibition is being coordinated by Blaqmango Consultants in Jamaica, Lewis’ Collection LCS Ltd. in Trinidad and Tobago, and Culture&Arts for Love&Living (CALL Barbados)/The Artiverse Gallery.

Eligibility
This exhibition is open to artists from the Caribbean and of Caribbean Descent working in any visual art medium including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, textiles, fibre art, ceramics and mixed media natives of or resident in Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
