Canberra Glassworks: Artist In Residence 2024

In 2024 Canberra Glassworks is offering three places within our residency program for established artists. The Artist in Residency (AiR) program is for artists who have achieved significant recognition for their technical and artistic work. The residency provides artists with a place and time for research and development, creating a new body of work, developing a particular idea or continuing along a theme using glass.

AiRs will be provided with a stipend of $1,000, a designated workspace, use of kilns, flameworking, coldshop, hotshop, neon area and mould room. A limited material allowance is available based on project requirements and can be used to purchase raw materials required for the duration of the residency. Artists must be skilled in use of the equipment that they are proposing to use and be able to work independently in the studio. We encourage artists new to glass to contact us before applying.
