2025 Fresh Pages Editorial Mentorship

The 2025 Fresh Pages Editorial Mentorship at carte blanche is now open to applications.

A component of the Fresh Pages Diversity Initiative, the Editorial Mentorship at carte blanche is a temporary, part-time, paid opportunity designed to give a Quebec-based artist the skills and experience to edit or manage a literary magazine.

For the 2025 Editorial Mentorship, the selected candidate will work with Photography Editor Shaney Herrmann to curate the photography section of carte blanche’Quebec Writers’ Federation s 52nd issue.

The mentorship will go to a Quebec-based writer with an interest in photography or photographer with an interest in writing who has not yet had an opportunity to work as an editor. Applicants do not need to be QWF members.

The mentorship provides:

• Approximately 15 hours of mentorship between July and August 2025
• An $800 honorarium
• A free one-year membership (or extension of membership) in the Quebec Writers’ Federation
