Commonwealth Writers in colloboration with KfW Stiftung will be hosting a panel discussion by experts on translation and the publishing of Arabic Literatures in October 2019.

The event will be in English.

5.00 pm – Opening words by KfW Stiftung

Performance reading with texts by writers of the ‘Short Stories Masterclass Frankfurt 2019’ (Arabic/English).

Author Alaa Al Aswany in conversation with Daniel Medin (Centre for Writers & Translators, American University of Paris).

Followed by a panel discussion with Lynn Gaspard (Saqi Books), Elisabeth Jaquette (American Literacy Translators Association), Piero Salabè (Hanser Verlag) and author Adania Shibli, moderated by Daniel Medin.
