Frontline Truths: Loss and Damage Storytelling Submissions Call

350.org Pacific is inviting Pacific Islanders across the globe to share stories that speak to the realities of climate-induced loss and damage. This call is part of their ongoing storytelling platform, Frontline Truths, which uplifts voices from the frontlines of the climate crisis.

The Pacific is a region that is rich in storytelling history, with oratory, song, dance and craftsmanship as key elements of our societies. These societies currently face the greatest threat of our time: the climate crisis. Loss and Damage as a result of the climate crisis is rife across the Pacific. Homes, farms, shorelines and coral reefs are all at risk, as are our languages, cultural practices and traditional knowledge

They’re now opening up the Frontline Truths storytelling series to communities to share their own stories of Loss and Damage. They invite you to creatively share:

  • Your experience of loss and damage due to the climate crisis
  • What you believe is at risk due to the climate crisis

Stories must be original and can be fictional or non-fictional. Submissions must be related to the theme of Loss and Damage. Submissions are open to those of Pacific Islander heritage or historical migrant communities. Three selected stories will be showcased at the COP30 Exhibition in Belém, Brazil.
