Chinazo joined the Commonwealth Foundation in December 2018 to support the work of the Participatory Governance and Gender Team.
She brings solid experience on gender and its intersectionality to her role, combining both theoretical and practical knowledge to support the Foundation’s aim of strengthening voices at the margins. Admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2009, she worked as a Senior Supervisor in the Enforcement and Compliance Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission Abuja, Nigeria. Her passion for women’s rights led her to work with the International Federation of Women Lawyers’ Nigeria National Secretariat, where she was involved in the development and management of projects on women’s and children’s rights.
Chinazo holds an MSc. in Law and Society-with a focus on law, gender and intersectionality-from Umeå University, Sweden.
