Advancing Universal Health Coverage throughout the Commonwealth: Key Asks from civil society

The Foundation has worked with Commonwealth civil society to develop twelve Key Asks for inclusive and equitable healthcare.

The Key Asks first took shape in February when a group of 220 health experts and civil society leaders from 35 countries participated in a landmark roundtable Critical Conversation: Advancing Universal Health Coverage Through Gender Equality’. They were further developed using an online survey which saw more than 300 additional health advocates share their suggestions for making universal healthcare a reality by better considering the needs of women and girls.

The Key Asks were shared at the Commonwealth Health Ministers Meeting in Geneva in May 2023.
