Issue
Improving administrative efficiency will enable Tonga Leitis Association (TLA) to better advocate for Tongan communities on sexual health and wellbeing.
How we are helping
We are supporting TLA to digitise its filing and information management systems.
About the project
The Foundation’s capacity strengthening grants stream supports smaller Commonwealth civil society organisations in smaller Member States, building their expertise and enhancing their capacity to influence policy.
TLA’s growing work on different areas of sexual health and wellbeing in Tonga has generated large volumes of paperwork. Information collected from service users could benefit TLA, but it must be stored and labelled clearly. We are supporting TLA to raise awareness of sexual health and wellbeing by modernising these information management systems.
The key actions for this project are:
- Reviewing existing administrative processes to identify opportunities for improvement
- Restructuring and upgrading information management systems
- Digitising documents and storing them online
As a result of this capacity-strengthening project, TLA will operate more efficiently and effectively as the organisational structure is improved and better managed. Files and information will be readily accessible in digital format.
