On 13 June 2019, Commonwealth Writers helped to launch Nicosia Beyond Barriers Voices from a Divided City in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The launch was held by Literary Agency Cyprus at NiMAC [Nicosia Municipal Arts Centre Associated with the Pierides Foundation], and featured readings and presentations from the editors, contributing writers and those involved with the project.

Editors of the anthology: Alev Adil, Aydın Mehmet Ali, Bahriye Kemal and Maria Petrides.

Exiled Writers Ink, Saqi Books and Commonwealth Writers joined writers and editors involved in the anthology ‘Nicosia Beyond Barriers: Voices from a Divided City’ for readings, discussion and a Q & A at The Poetry Cafe, London on 5 August 2019.  The event included readings and discussion from Alev Adil, Anthony Anaxagorou, Bahriye Kemal, Angus Reid, and Caroline Rooney.
