Open submission call: Outcast, ‘Once upon a Time’ | Deadline 5 February 2019

Opportunity from Outcast Mag:

What are we looking for?

Outcast is a South Asian queer lit magazine that publishes LGBTQ+ folk and anyone interested in queer literature and art. We enjoy cross-genre, intersectional, marginal and transgressive work.

About the theme

Outcast is now open for submissions for ‘Volume 3 – Once upon a time’. This volume’s theme allows you to weave your stories with magic and fantasy. Tell us a story about a land far away that existed once upon a time, tell us about a knight on their journey or a goblin fighting mermaids. What you can do with this theme is only limited by your imagination.

The best thing about being once upon a time is that this place or time is not bound by the rules of our society. Feel free to make your rules and break the norms. Take the fate of your characters into your own hands and walk us into your world.

We expect you to delight us with mystery, charm us with wit, break our hearts and put them back together.

Send in your entries and give us the pleasure of sharing your work!

The deadline for submissions is 5th February, 2019.
