Commonwealth Shorts is a capacity building scheme to give emerging writers/directors the opportunity to make a film which highlights issues affecting them and their communities.
The 2013 scheme had two main partners B3 Media, our production partner and CBA Worldview, which provided part-funding for the project.
B3 Media
is an award-winning media arts network that helps artists and film-makers develop, produce and distribute their work, from conception through to screening and beyond.
CBA Worldview
is a CBA (Commonwealth Broadcasting Association) Project that aims to improve UK public understanding and awareness of the developing world via the mainstream broadcast and digital media.
Documentary NZ Trust
, the New Zealand Film Commission and the Auckland University of Technology all worked with Commonwealth Writers on Pacific Voices in 2013, a workshop to explore how to take Pacific stories to a wider global audience.
