Exploring the intersection between gender and climate change in the Caribbean

In quick succession Hurricanes Irma and Maria wrought unprecedented devastation in the Caribbean last year. It has been acknowledged that women and indigenous communities are more vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.

An exploratory civil society discussion hosted by the Commonwealth Foundation and the Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme aims to map the intersection between gender and climate change in the Caribbean. It will take place on 4-5 June at the United Nations House, Barbados.
