In this podcast Kate Griffin from the British Centre for Literary Translation talks to workshop leader Arunava Sinha and author Shaheen Akhtar during the translation workshop at the Dhaka Translation Centre from 15 to 19 November 2014. Arunava translates classic, modern and contemporary Bengali fiction and nonfiction into English and Shaheen is the author of five collections of short stories and three novels in Bangla.One of the participants in the workshop, Mohammad Mahmudul Haque, is interpreting for Shaheen.
The workshop was organised by the Dhaka Translation Centre in partnership with Commonwealth Writers, the British Centre of Literary Translation and English PEN.
