As the Deputy Director Myn has responsibility for Programmes and Grants. She led the Foundation in developing its Strategic Framework for 2012-16 and in integrating results-based management across the organisation.

Myn comes to the Commonwealth Foundation with extensive and multidisciplinary experience in International Development and Communication including participatory governance, peacebuilding, gender, cultural diversity, communications for development, social marketing and advocacy, capacity development and knowledge management. Most recently, she was the Director-Development of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) funded Afghanistan Technical Assistance Program and was based in Kabul, Afghanistan. Previous to this she was the Canadian Field Program Manager of the CIDA funded Local Governance Support Program in the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao in Southern Philippines. Myn has also worked as a Program Manager at the Laurier Institution, a non-governmental Canadian policy think tank examining the economic and social impact of cultural diversity and peace. She has worked with national and local governments, civil society organisations, international organisations, academia, media and the private sector in Canada, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.

Myn has an MA in Communication and Development from Simon Fraser University School of Communication in British Columbia, Canada, and has authored, edited and published a number of books on governance, capacity development and knowledge management.
