Diana Atungire-Ocaya joined the Commonwealth Foundation in 2010.

As a Programme Manager she is responsible for managing a set of projects that build a culture of learning in participatory governance, and support greater civil society participation and engagement with institutions in governance. Diana’s work also supports organisational objectives for capacity development and the grants initiative.

Before joining the Commonwealth Foundation, Diana worked with USAID/Uganda as Project Management Specialist managing key trade and development projects. A focus of these projects was agricultural and private sector development, export competitiveness, trade policy analysis and investment promotion. She participated in formulating sector-based competitiveness strategies and developed key policy position papers to facilitate private-public sector dialogue. Diana holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics.
